Dr Bart van den Broek is a specialist in the field of data collection and analysis and statistical inference. Among other things, he is involved in the development of text mining and machine learning methods for road safety data and quality control of data on road safety performance indicators.
Before joining SWOV, Bart worked as a data scientist at the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets and as a researcher at Statistics Netherlands. In 2012 he obtained his doctorate at the Radboud University Nijmegen with his dissertation Modelling and Computational Inference with Path Integral Control.
