Abstract

Continuous perspective transformation of varying length were presented in 2.sec.cycles to each test person on the visibly flat surface of a translucent screen. Judgements of the amount of change of slant on the apparently rigid object were in good correspondence with the length of the transformation sequence, without depending on the kind of pattern which carried the transformation.
