Abstract
This report consists of two phases. In the first phase, accidents and exposure data were used to analyse the volume, nature, and development of accidents involving lorries. In the second phase, cost-benefit analyses of measures were made for their effectiveness in increasing the safety of lorries. The emphasis was on vehicle measures, but also measures aimed at influencing behaviour and logistics were studied.
