Abstract

A study of the biomechanical factors concerned with the development of improved head injury models has been made. Information regarding static skull stiffness in various directions, surface strains as well as pressures in the skull, head accelerations and contact force are combined with injury data to obtain a better understanding of the head injury mechanisms.
