Effect of low blood alcohol level on stereoscopic acuity and fixation disparity.

Abstract

The stereoscopic acuity and fixation disparity of 9 subjects was measured before and after the consumption of 1 oz. of Scotch or bourbon whiskey per 150 lb of body weight. It was found that, while stereoscopic acuity measured were unaffected by alcohol, fixation disparity increased significantly.
