Abstract

This study was divided into two parts. A questionnaire was used to determine the techniques employed including personnel and equipment utilized in the investigation of freeway accidents. The field studies were made by means of two cameras to determine the actual travel time of vehicles in the congestion caused by an accident. The method also gave a measure of the delay experienced by motorists.
