Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board No. 1925 evaluates wireless location technology and its accuracy in estimating speeds, explores the results of removing bottlenecks on freeways in Texas, and examines strategies for integrating the operations of diamond-interchange and ramp-metering signals. Examining video vehicle detection technology at signalized intersections is the subject of the 2005 D. Grant Mickle Award paper, included in this volume. Many of the papers contained in this volume were presented at the 84th Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2005. (Author/publisher)
