Abstract

Data are presented concerning child pedestrian accidents collected by the Hampshire police in 1971 as part of a larger study on pedestrian accidents. In this survey evidence is provided that lack of attention on the part of the child is a major factor, whereas misjudgment plays only a minor part. A further detailed study of child pedestrians is in progress.
