Abstract

This note describes the continuing work being carried out on the TRRL system 4-70 computer of system measurement and tuning, first described in an earlier report. Here, an attempt to improve terminal response by optimising access to some of the system's most critical files is reported. The work has been moderately successful; a gain of almost 40 per cent in response time for a certain terminal command has been observed.
