Abstract

The paper covers the following subject matter relating to Section 2 of the network run by the Ministry for Development in the Cantabria Region in the North of Spain: (1) Characteristics of the above cited road sections corresponding to 60 km of conventional road and 38 km of highway in the northern area of Spain, (Cantabria). (2) Considerations about of the differentbituminous mixtures used as wearing course in mentioned roads. (3) Different behaviours of each one of the mixtures considering the meteorological adverse phenomena (ice, hail, snow…). (4) Problems to bearing in mind in the works of reestablishment of the serviceability, in the presence of the phenomena mentioned in the previous paragraph.
