Abstract

These interim procedures for safety audits of traffic control in work zones in New Zealand are intended to satisfy the following objectives: identification of potential safety problems; reduction of crash rates at work zones; ensuring that those involved in construction or maintenance at work zones fully consider identified problems; seeking consistency and influencing policy weaknesses.
