Abstract

Many facts that are known about the senses are reviewed. By a direct comparison of the limits, the relative stimulus magnitudes that may be tolerated, and the sensitivities of the various senses, man may be put to better use in an increasingly complex environment. Interaction among simultaneously stimulated sensory channels is of interest in this context also and so information along these lines has been included.
