Abstract

In the present paper, a scattering function has been selected which has a high predominance of forward scattering and with this it can be demonstrated that the amount of light must be assumed to be lost by scatter does not exceed the total amount of light which is known to be attenuated by the media. Furthermore, an effort has been made to discover what further modifications have to be made in the theory to bring it into complete agreement with the facts.
