Abstract

This report examines progress by departments and other stakeholders to implement a raft of measures contained in the Rural Road Safety Action Plan. Transport ministers agreed to the plan in 1996 to improve rural road safety across Australia. The chapters of the report follow the structure of the plan. The final chapter examines other worthy initiatives. The report contains recommendations for the government to implement to continue the good work by Queensland agencies since 1996.
