Abstract

Basic information to all engaged in public health work in any part of the world is provided. Special emphasis is placed on epidemiology and the community aspects of medicine. Attention is also paid to the use of managerial sciences and to the use of computers in public health. Computer simulation can be a valuable tool in the planning of communicable disease control and in the organization and evaluation of health services.
