Abstract
The study of school crosswalk warrants described in this paper, and the recommended school crosswalk warrants, apply only to two-lane, rural or suburban highways. School crosswalk problems and warrants on city streets and multi-lane highways are essentially different, and require separate studies and warrants. However, if the warrants are wisely applied, they can give considerable guidance to an official making decision regarding school crosswalks on multi-lane highways and urban streets.
