Samenvatting
Legal issues related to proposed legislation making seat belt usage mandatory are discussed, with emphasis on the constitutionality of the statutes. It is noted that several federal courts and half the state courts have ruled favorably on the constitutionality of state and municipal requirements that motorcyclists wear protective goggles or helmets.
