Samenvatting
It is studied if a spare wheel is still meaningful to install in a car. The objective necessity for a spare wheel is reviewed by data on defects of the tyre and by interviews. As quintessence of the study is established that the driver has the spare wheel mostly for his feelings of safety and to decrease his fear for a flat tyre.
