Samenvatting
The Traffic Safety Committee of Insurance Companies (VALT), an organ within the Finnish Motor Insurers' Bureau, is responsible for the joint road safety work of Finnish insurance companies. VALT's activities include various tasks for better road safety, such as initiatives, statements and comments, and road safety promotion. An important part of its work is research. This booklet discusses some of the findings and results of the road accident investigation team work. The operation itself is also described, with an account of its development and improvements. (A)
