Skid resistance testing form a statistical viewpoint. Paper prepared for presentation at the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Highway Research Board HRB, Washington, D.C., January 25, 1973.

This paper deals with skid resistance standard for highways which is anticipated in the future and determined by means of the locked-wheel skid tester. Implications are discussed on the way in which minimum skid resistance standards should be defined along with an example method by which statistics can be applied to survey testing.
