Samenvatting
The management and prevention of a road surface icing is one of the most important tasks in winter road. The best way is to spray salt before a road surface ices up. In order to improve this management level, it is necessary to control the prevention work by accurate assessment of the actual road situation. Moreover, reduction of the cost is also required in order tocontrol increases in budget spending. This paper reports on the research results of meeting these demands by applying ITS technology.
