Samenvatting
Sustainably Safe has banned agricultural vehicles from distributor roads to parallel roads. Constructing the parallel roads has lead to a number of objections. It is an expensive measure that uses a lot of space, and generally, has little effect on casualty reduction, and delay hindrance and road section speeds for other traffic. But there are 'sober' alternatives, such as 'overtake segments'. These are approx. 100 metre-long extra lanes instead of a kilometres-long parallel road. Experiments with them are being carried out in the province of Limburg.
