Abstract

This report will attempt to answer questions concerning the nature of the conviction-accident relationshi~s it applies to various violation categcrieBI II this report specifically will be resolved around a consideration of the following; 1.The magnitude and shape of the relationship between each of the traffic conviction categories and accidents. 2.Sex differences with respect to conviction frequencies and the various conviction-accident relationship. 3.The effects of accident-related convictions on the relationship between each type of conviction and accident frequency. 4.Implications of present findings on the current statutory Ne- gligent Operator Point Count system.
