Abstract

This article presents some of the stories covered in Traffic Technology International during 2005. The document is split into two-month sections giving examples of stories ranging from the proposal for congestion charges in Edinburgh in January/February, to July/August's story of a new telematics and navigation system being developed by Ford's European Research Centre in Aachen, Germany. It will offer tailored routes, reducing the problems caused by mass route changes by drivers. The final issue of 2005 contained an item about several foreign embassies in London refusing to pay the congestion charge. For the covering abstract see ITRD E139966.
