Abstract

This report provides an initial summary of the outcome of the latest in a series of regular reviews of reported personal injury road casualty statistics. It sets out the proposed key changes to the data collected. A fuller report on the review and results of the consultation process will be published on the DfT website at the end of February. The purpose of this report is to inform those involved in the collection process as early as possible about the scope and timing of the key changes to the system. This report also includes the Department’s response to the UK Statistics Authority Assessment Report 4 on road casualty statistics.
