Abstract
An analysis of the use of energy in the sector of traffic and transport, based in the existing statistics is discussed first. Emphasis is placed on transport of persons. Secondly the way on which via internal and external aims, by the fixation of potential measures and after an evaluation, a selection of possibilities can be made, is presented. The quantification of energy saving effect of these measures is an important step in such a procedure.
