Abstract

A survey over some essential problems in the study of visual space perception is given. It concerns problems about how the visual system of an active, moving perceiver abstracts information from the optic flow entering the eyes. The analyses deal with perceiving not only rigid environments but also with environments built up from moving non- rigid structures.
