Abstract

The more recent transport mode choice models are all based on the individual behaviour. They reflect the understanding that planners should be able to distinguish and consider the users and potential users reactions to the various planning options in order to achieve the planning objectives Urban and transportation planning do interfere with the basic factors underlying individual behaviour. Nevertheless, behaviour can not be controlled by planning.
