Abstract

In the area of transportation industry, the benefits of telematics technologies are seen mostly in the company's productivity level. So far there has been little research on how truck drivers accept telematics. Therefore the aim was to investigate truck driver´s opinions and attitudes towards telematics in terms of satisfaction, stress, comfort, safety, and possible distraction and time pressure through questionnaires distributed to Czech and British truck drivers. Some conclusions are made concerning the comparison between two nationalities and their in-vehicle telematic technologiesacceptance. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
