Abstract

If one wants to improve the bike and ride system then one has to begin with searching for the weakest link in the following chain: routes to the station, the layout of the station square, parking the bicycle, bicycle in the public transport, bicycle tire, second bicycle parking. A good survey is essential to find the weakest link. The best source of information is the cyclist himself. He can indicate the shortest routes and the bottlenecks on this route, problems of safety, detours and waste of time at intersections.
