Abstract

Flexible Real-Time Assistance for Moving (FRAM) is a good example of a successful journey starting from a political decision at the Swedish parliament to work on fulfilling one of the main goals for road transport systemsin Sweden (accessibility to road transport systems). Through a number of research & development (R&D) projects that end in achieving the final target in a deployment-ready concept the handing it over to the market to build it up as commercial services and provide them to the society. The goal for the FRAM project is to develop a guidance/navigation personal system initially for elderly people, but mainly for persons with cognitive disabilities and also for visual impaired persons. FRAM is an integrated part ofthe umbrella project e-Adept. Several partners, stronger finances and a common goal have led this project towards the desired goal.
