Abstract

A study of motorcycle handling qualities is described involving both transient and steady-state directional stability and control properties, and the development of test procedures suitable for the evaluation of these properties. It is concluded that the results of the study provide a firm foundation of information on several aspects of motorcycle behaviour and have identified special areas where additional research is required.
