Abstract

An analysis of accidents occurred in the U.S.A. during 1972 is given by class of road user and vehicle type. The death total in 1972 was about 2000 more than in 1971. Motor-vehicle and public deaths increased, while home and work deaths decreased. The death rate per 100 000 persons was 56.2 up to 1 per cent from 55.8 in 1971.
