Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the self- reported accident involvement rates of a large sample of British drivers. The purpose of this study is to establish the relationship between the accident liability of an individual driver (i. e. the expected frequency of his or her involvement in accidents) and factors such as age, sex, exposure and driving experience.
