The accident liability of young/novice drivers and the effectiveness of driver licensing systems

This report reviews the literature on research into the contributing factors to the high accident liability of novice drivers and discusses the results with particular reference as to how driver training may contribute to greater safety of novice and young drivers. This literature survey was a part of a larger project, undertaken by the Forum of European Road Safety Research Institutes (FERSI)
