Abstract

Road accident involvement (according to severity of accident) of cars of various design characteristics is studied relative to exposure expressed in 10 miles of travel. Design characteristics considered are brake horsepower, weight braking surface area, power-weight ratio, braking surface area to weight ratio, braking surface area to brake horsepower ratio.
