Abstract

Many authorities have stated that T-intersections are safer than cross intersections. whether this is true in the south African context has never been proven. recent research has yielded models able to predict accidents at urban intersections with reasonably accuracy, and this report uses these models to compare the relative safety of urban T and cross junctions.
