Abstract

Diagnosis of cardiac injury due to chest trauma is difficult, yet these injuries are not uncommon. If a patient presents the triad of chest trauma, a cardiac murmur, and an electrocardiographic conduction defect, the possibility of an acquired ventricular septal defect should be considered. Such a case is presented.
