Abstract

As more and more people are turning to bicycle riding for its acknowledged health and environmental benefits, improving the safety of cyclists is a priority. Each year, an average of 35 cyclists is killed and over 2,500 are seriously injured on Australian public roads. There are many strategies to improve cycling safety at a community and an individual level. (Author/publisher)
