Abstract

Our vision is a world in which cars can exchange great amounts of data at low cost to optimize traffic flows and provide valuable information to the driver. For realizing this vision we use ad hoc network concepts implemented on available standard hardware. We present our testbed and the software components that we use as well as the general concept of fisheye information. We intend to build an IP based ad hoc network between vehicles that supports a number of applications and information services.
