Abstract
This report contains 4escriptions of the causes and con;sequences of the accidents involving cars in a represen-tative sample of road traffic-accidents to which an am-bulance was Galled in metropolitan Adelaide. The charac-teristics of the drivers are reviewed in relation to thecausation of these accidents and to accident preventionmeasures in general and the role of vehicle factors inaccident and injury causation is discussed with emphasison tere Australian Desiga Rules f or Motor Yehicle Safety.
