Abstract

This paper provides a summary interim report of a pilot evaluation of the ADEPT automatic debiting system for road-use pricing, in-vehicle driver information, and car-park booking and management. The evaluation focuses on 2 themes: (1) the technical performance of the ADEPT system under varying traffic and environmental conditions; and (2) the effect on travel-behaviour in Cambridge of various charging algorithms that could be implemented using the ADEPT system.
