Abstract

The study investigated the implementation and effects of alcohol interlocks in professional transportation. In autumn 2011, the experiences of professional drivers on alcohol interlocks were surveyed; most (61%) of the respondents considered alcohol interlocks to be useful in professional transport, while one third (32%) considered it unnecessary. The majority (81%) of respondents would be prepared to extend the obligation to use alcohol interlocks to all transportation covered by a traffic licence. (Author/publisher)
