Abstract

This document describes the ASSET safety theory and integrated system architecture and how its architecture is compatible with the European ITS Framework Architecture. However, this report is not a detailed description of the sub-system level architecture since these are already described in the other ASSET deliverables which are more focused on test site construction. The ASSET report is based on three internal deliverables: Safety Theory and Holistic (D1.3), Integrated architecture for safety (D1.4) and Review and evaluation of automatic traffic regulations (D1.5) The most important interests, needs and visions for integrated road safety were discussed, formulated and compared with natural mobility.
