Abstract

The objective of this paper is to define how complex automotive electronics have become and how advanced semiconductor technologies are being developed to simplify the development of these systems. The paper discusses networks, partitioning, mechatronics, smart sensors, and Flash Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM). The impact of these technologies on simplifying development of complex systems is made clear.
