Abstract

Primary activities to date have been the subsystem technology assessments, mission analysis, development of vehicle requirements and baseline vehicle characteristics. However, it is clear from the preliminary development of subsystem requirements that specific energy and power must be equally addressed in an optimal system design, though specific energy is the critical parameter for electric advanced vehicles, just as specific power is for the hybrid advanced vehicle.
