Abstract
This report from the Council of Advice on the Development of the Southwestern part of the Netherlands describes the different aspects of the economic planning of this delta region. Topics covered include industrialization, seaport situation, agriculture, recreation, and environmental factors, which lead to a number of conclusions regarding the policy for this region and its development. As far as the traffic situation is concerned both road and railroad design is discussed. A second national airport near this region is envisaged.
