Abstract

A discussion of basic vehicle aerodynamics for use by body engineers is presented. Importance of aerodynamics to total vehicle performance is indicated. Aerodynamic drag, internal flow requirements, external flow patterns, and aerodynamic noise are discussed. Typical static pressures for different body shapes and different conditions of wind are given.
