Abstract

Norway has introduced as the first country in the world a law on DWI since 1936. The law has been and is strictly enforced. Still the drinking and driving is a serious problem in Norway. To find effective countermeasures it is essential to know why drivers choose to drive after drinking. It is hoped that future research may supply this knowledge.
