Abstract

The study was designed to use information made available through the Hobart Area Transportation Study, to test the assumption that the driver under the age of 25 years is responsible for, or involved in, an undue proportion of traffic accidents. Full attention is given to the normally neglected parameters of licensed drivers in each age group, and the comparative mileages travelled.
